Instructions

  1. Mix warm milk, discard and sugar together in bowl.
  2. Add egg, butter (for the dough) and vanilla
  3. Mix in four, salt, baking powder and baking soda until shaggy dough forms. Cover and rest for 20-30mins.
  4. Uncover and knead for 5 minutes. Rest for another 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 180°c
  6. Roll out dough into square
  7. Mix brown sugar, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  8. Melt unsalted butter and brush onto dough.
  9. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon mix on top
  10. Roll up dough and cut into 12 sections.
  11. Bake at 180°c for 24-26 mins
  12. Mix icing ingredients together until desired texture - drizzle on top once scrolls have cooled.
