  1. Preheat oven to 160°C and line a 9” x 9” baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add chocolate chips, cocoa powder, and vanilla. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Beat eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer for 7–10 minutes until light and fluffy.
  4. Combine chocolate mixture and sourdough discard into the egg mixture. Mix on low until just combined.
  5. Fold in flour and salt using a spatula. Batter will be thick.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared dish and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until set in the centre.
  8. Cool completely in the pan. Lift out using parchment and cut into squares.
